AL ISLAH DEL PERRO DE PRESA CANARIO
Our Second line Al Islah is crossed once or twice within a three generation pedigree of El Primo from Haridian , Shaka Zulu or any other line worthy or needed for our bloodline. However we adhere tight to the trait and type of the Perro de Presa Canario standard. Al Islah must always aim to keep continuity of trait and type each litter for most of our pups. This line will mostly be inwardly influenced by El Primo crossed only once or twice back into El Primo. We prefer selecting the genetic truth of pups who are confident, full biters, hard biters, correct in type, structure movement etc. The pups that mature into more than what they have shown as pups rising to the call of their mostly urban influenced environments. Please note we will cross when needed! Only into sire/dam from lines that throw consistent to the Perro De Presa Canario Standard.
Trait: Confident/Very confident from the age of five weeks and above. High prey drive able to train easily visa via prey drive no need for food based training. Full grips/bites overall to various bite objects from the age of 5 weeks monitored thru it’s 1st year. We prefer pups that consistently show very agile, fast movement along with innate amount of endurance in different environments. All of our pups most show confidence in most urban environments, parks, forests, stadiums and supermarkets etc. At the age of 6 months to 11 months the defensive drive begins to mature where the pup is ready to engage any opposing threat man or animal at the same time obedient to his handler overall. The quick switch that enables a well bred Presa Canario to turn on and off when the necessity dictates worst case scenario not so easy to to turn off (working homes only!). We would prefer that at 2 years of age our Presa’s can take full sticks strikes to the head, between the eyes, on the legs and ribs at will however releasing the bite on command. Again able to run a football field/race track in the heart of summer down south, north east or the winters of the mid west multiple times willing to go without quit regardless of the weather. It is of the utmost importance pups display full mouth bites, we prefer the hardest pressure on bites and a calm head on all bites. We like our presa with bounce the innate urge to consistently jump /down vertically esp. when engaged in prey drive. Our presa overall are very swift on all fours with excellent movement and agility. A strong bite able to hang on to the average size car tire is preferred at the age of 1or 2 years old. The natural wind genetically imposed therefore willing and capable of jumping up and down for hours waiting his or her turn to engage into the game/fight of man.
Fierce looking, well boned, thick necks, large heads, huge teeth! Males: 90- 115 at one year 110-129lbs at three years of age. The ability to easily leap vertically up to a man shoulders 6 feet tall + .Very Muscular body, muscular built head, jaws, neck, shoulders, front legs, chest, ribs set and back legs! We tend to have in most litters dark eyes and mouth lining. All brindles, no blue coats, all fawns and black coats.

Fierce, well boned, thick necks, large head huge teeth! adults easily leaping vertically up to or over a man shoulders 6 feet tall .Very or Muscular built head, jaws, neck, shoulders, front legs, chest, ribs set and back legs! We tend to have in most litters dark eyes and mouth lining. All brindles, no blue coats, all fawns and black coats.
We hope to improve and add to our program by adhering to traditional methods of breeding and selection from the age of 5 weeks to 14 weeks. We line breed tight, consistent and careful.
Overall we chose not to breed into any Presa Canario pups that were nervous, shy, to big, low prey drive, not outgoing, lack of full bite, no concentration of bite within different environments or made up distractions, too much barking or crying within time spent within his/her first 5 weeks to 14 weeks of urban pack life even if this pup matured into a working adult male/female. However there are exceptions to this principle in our breeding program.
